About this policy
This privacy policy covers the Simple Dialer Android app (application ID: info.pakkudev.simple_dialer), including its modern and legacy builds, and this website at simpledialer.leximo.app. Simple Dialer may appear as “Phone” or a translated equivalent in your launcher.
For privacy questions or requests, contact the Simple Dialer team at support@leximo.app.
Information used on your device
Simple Dialer uses the following information to provide its phone features:
- Contacts: names, phone numbers, contact photos, and starred status are read from Android’s contacts provider to display, search, and call your contacts.
- Call history: phone numbers, call types, times, and durations are read from Android’s call log to display recent calls. The modern app accesses this only while it is your default phone app and has the required permission.
- Call information: dialed numbers, caller details, call state, and audio route information are used through Android’s phone services to place and manage calls.
- Settings and favorites: interface choices, locally selected favorite numbers, excluded favorites, and call-handling preferences are stored in the app’s local storage.
- Proximity readings: on supported modern devices, the proximity sensor helps prevent accidental screen touches during calls and powers optional auto answer and auto speaker. Readings are processed during use, not recorded as a sensor history or sent to us.
The app has no account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or developer-operated remote database. The reviewed modern and legacy apps do not request Android’s Internet permission. We do not receive or sell your contacts, phone numbers, call history, call contents, or proximity readings.
Permissions and your choices
- Phone / default phone role: allows placing calls and, in the modern app, handling incoming and ongoing calls through Android Telecom.
- Contacts and call log: allow the relevant lists to work. You can refuse or revoke this access; manual number entry remains available, subject to phone permission and device capabilities.
- Notifications and full-screen call access: on applicable Android versions, allow incoming call alerts and the incoming call screen. Some manufacturers require additional lock-screen or background-window settings.
- Wake lock: helps manage screen behavior and avoid accidental touches during calls.
Permissions are explained when needed. Modern Android lets you manage permissions and the default phone role in system settings. On older Android versions, permissions may be granted at installation. The legacy build uses the system phone interface and does not provide the modern proximity-based automatic call features.
Auto answer and auto speaker are off by default. You can turn them off in the app’s settings at any time. The sensor detects nearby objects, not a person’s identity or whether an object is an ear.
The app does not record call audio, request microphone recording permission, read SMS messages, or send SMS automatically. The message action opens your chosen SMS app, where you decide whether to send. Editing a contact opens Android’s contact editor.
Storage, retention, and deletion
App preferences and local favorites stay in app storage until you change them, clear Simple Dialer’s storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Automatic Android app-data backup is disabled in both builds. We do not keep a server copy of this app data.
Contacts and call history belong to Android’s shared providers. Clearing Simple Dialer’s storage or uninstalling it does not delete those system records. Manage contacts in your contacts app and call records through your system’s call-history controls. Removing a local favorite does not delete the underlying contact.
To stop future access, revoke permissions, choose a different default phone app, or uninstall Simple Dialer. Since we do not receive your device’s contacts or call history, we cannot retrieve or delete them remotely.
This website
This website uses no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, cookies, or browser storage. The interactive preview keeps choices only in page memory until you reload or leave the page. Assets are served from this website without third-party font or media requests.
To deliver and protect the website, the hosting infrastructure necessarily processes connection information such as IP address, requested URL, time of request, and browser-provided headers. Technical error logs may contain request details and are used to operate and troubleshoot the service. We do not use these details to build advertising profiles. The app does not send its contacts or call history to this website.
When you contact us
If you email support@leximo.app, we receive your email address, message, and anything you choose to attach. We use that information to respond and handle your request. Email providers process these messages as part of delivering email.
Please avoid sending contacts, full call logs, or other people’s personal information when reporting a problem. Support correspondence is retained while needed to resolve the request and meet any applicable obligations. You can ask us to delete correspondence by emailing the same address, subject to those obligations.
Security and privacy requests
The app uses Android’s permission model and private app storage for its own settings. The website uses HTTPS. Your device security, screen lock, operating system, and other apps also affect how information is protected.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal information we hold, or to complain to your local data protection authority. Contact support@leximo.app about information you have sent us. For information kept only on your phone, use the device controls described above.
Children’s privacy
Simple Dialer does not run a registration service or knowingly collect children’s personal information through the app. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through support, contact support@leximo.app so we can address it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the app’s data practices or this policy change, and revise the date at the top. Material changes that need additional notice or permission will be explained through an appropriate app or distribution-channel notice.
